Trump and the Warhawks, Trump with the Evangelicals, All Into Iran

Well, he did it. Trump launched a preemptive strike on Iran in support of Israel’s unprovoked attacks on Iran and Iran’s lethal retaliatory responses, just two days after I wrote about the plausibility of this right here in Fool’s Gold. US war hawks and the most rabid of evangelical Zionist Christians are something between crazed celebration and pseudo prayers over this. I talk about that and more in relation to Spinning Sage’s Gold this no-so-great Sunday, 84 years after Nazi Germany invaded the former Soviet Union.
